Child friendly text complemented by the detailed illustrations makes My First Bedtime Bible ideal for early readers to tackle reading the book on their own. My 8 year-old daughter really enjoyed reading this by herself and to me :) The illustrations are not only detailed, but the bible characters are portrayed with a variety of skin tones as well (which can be quite difficult to find). Very nice first bible (includes Old and New Testaments).
