We beseech thee, Lord, pour thy grace into our hearts; that, as we have known Christ thy Son's incarnation, by the message of an angel, so by his cross and passion we may be brought unto the glory of his resurrection; through the same Christ our Lord. THE EPISTLE. Esai. vii. God spake once again unto Ahaz, saying, Require a token of the Lord thy God; whether it be toward the depth beneath, or toward the height above. Then said Ahaz, I will require none, neither will I tempt the Lord.
