File under shameless self promotion.

I Like To Whine by William G. Bentrim is now available for purchase at Blurb.
Personally, I probably whine too much but this is my book for kids on whining and it’s consequences.   It is my first attempt at selling a book.   I have books I give away at www.bentrim.info under free books.    A long time desire to actually publish something is the motivating factor on putting I Like to Whine on Blurb.   If nothing else check it out and let me know what you think.   Of course, if you want to buy a copy, WHOOHOO!

Nice book, I love the cover :)

Though your website could use some changing, the bright colors made me cringe, they dazzle the eye alittle too much and draw attention away from what you are trying to sell.

Just trying to be helpful.

The book is adorable, I read what I could. I'll bet it will make a difference in some households.

Pam,

I admit to a fondness for bright colors, a hereditary affliction.   My Father painted hex signs and once painted the walls of the basement in 5 different colored horizontal stripes much to my Mother’s dismay.    Thanks for the advice though.

Veronica,

Thanks, my sister has 12 grandchildren and reads it too them frequently.

Can this book be purchase through amazon?  If so I could request my library to buy several copies. But they only deal with the vendors Ingram and Amazon.

What a kind offer!   As I am disturbingly new to all this, I just went out to Amazon to see what it would take to put my book on there.  If I use their book "advantage" program, I have to give them 55% of the list price.   Since that would leave me in the whole nearly $5.00 per book based on what it costs me to have it published at Blurb, if the book were even poorly successful, I could quickly go broke.

So I went to Blurb and re-determined that I do not have an exclusive contract with them so I could get the book published elsewhere.

I looked at a few self publishing web sites and now my mind is like warm jello, I am drooling on my keyboard and not quite sure what my name was, is or might be.

You have provided me with the appropriate impetus to do more research.   If I can get the book published elsewhere for a lot less money, then I could get it on Amazon and be able to afford to sell it.   In the meantime, I thank you for your very kind words, I can't tell you how exciting it is to have someone express interest in buying it, even if I can't sell it to them at the moment.   Being retired, I finally have had the time to pursue a variety of goals that earning a living precluded.   Getting published was one of them and I may be getting closer to turning that into reality.

Thanks again and I will get back to you as soon as I can figure out the whole morass of self publishing.

Bill
