Am wanting read a book about two people who fall in love but whose paths take them in different directions but who find each other many years later and fall in love again (or, realize they were never out of love). A love story.

Does Nicholas Sparks have a book like that? Or Barbara Delinsky? Or someone else as popular?

I don't want anything too unbelievable or far-fetched.  No Harlequin Romances.

There is one that comes to mind for me, and it is a little unusual in that it is a true story.  It Happened on Maple Street (True Vows)

The True Vows books are true love stories that are told to an author, who then writes the book, however in this case, the author, Tara Taylor Quinn, wrote about her own experience.  I've read several of the True Vows books, and this one was by far the best.  It was quite an intense story, and I have to warn you that there is some disturbing subject matter, but what a story this woman has to tell.  I could not put it down until I finished it.

The Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred.  It was a great book, but be prepared to cry.

Daisy's Back in Town by Rachel Gibson

Shiloh Walker has a couple, No Longer Mine (another heartbreaker) and The Missing

Nicholas Sparks' latest The Best of Me kind of falls into this category, but DOES NOT have an HEA for the couple.

Look at some of Lavyrle Spencer's books.  I think she has one or two books along those plot lines, Bygones, etc.

Here's Spencer's page on Fantastic Fiction's website.

If Best of Me doesn't end well, I don't think I want to read it!  I am looking to immerse myself in a good, happy-ending, love story.

Thank you for all these; I am headed to my local half-price bookstore and library this weekend!

If you have not read A Town Like Alice by Nevil Shute, you should do so immediately.  The original title I read it under in the 1960's was The Legacy.  Just the best romance ever!

Great link, Jane.  I know I'd read many lovers reunited books before but couldn't put titles to the thread response.  Amazed after reading your link's list how many I have read over the years.

If you don't mind historicals there's Nan Ryan's YOU BELONG TO MY HEART which is a nice lovers reunited story; set during the Civil War.   I don't like Nan Ryan books but this one was good.
