We've been having different postal workers for weeks now. Some better than others.
I did just like always last night, and did a online request for pickup, free with 1 priority item {cheaper than gas especially since my bus doesn't fit in a post office very well}. I've got the email to confirm it. Instructions were to ring the door bell - how hard can that be? I've got them all loaded in a shopping cart in my garage ready for them as there is 75 lbs of books going out today {nearly 100 books}
I just checked my mail as it's getting late - mail has gone, but no pickup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ready to scream!!!!!!!! |

That is very frustrating! I would call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go online and request the pick up again. My mail man always picks up the mail no matter how many books I have to send out. I don't have to request carrier pick up. |

I had them not pick up a package the other day and I called the PO. They sent them back to my house to get it.

They finally picked them all up the next day - after I scheduled another pickup |

I think they are limited to 70 pounds. And I'm sure they have to have room for big pick ups. I know when I've had a large number of packages being sent and my normal mailman was out with knee surgery, I had someone other than the sub picking up and dropping off packages for my address. With my regular mailman, he's often come back at the end of his day. I'm the first stop after lunch and he would have to haul that stuff all over the neighborhood if he didn't. The building across the street alone has well over 100 apartments and there are all businesses on the other side of my block. I've also missed the 2am deadline for the next-day pickup and had to wait until the following day for pickups. |
