Just venting.  So I get a PM for a book I sent. She says she ordered an audio but she'd just repost the hardback. Didn't ask for credits back.  So I look in my transaction archive and it says hardcover and she marked it RWP.  It says clearly hardcover book which is what I sent. A nice one too with a pristine dust jacket.  I responded to her PM.  It just makes me mad.  I hope she goes back and marks it as beign marked RWP by mistake.  I believe you can do that now. Or at least mark it as resolved and note that it was her mistake.  I'm just upset because I've sent out over 300 books and this is my first ding against me.  I don't post a lot of books that are borderline because it's just not worth the hassle to me to have someone complain.

When I got my first ding I was devastated, but I soon learned that these things happen (fortunately not often), and I apologize, offer the credit back, and usually ask (and send a credit) for the book back.

After a while your skin gets thicker and you don't worry about it as much.  It still sucks when you do get a RWP though.  Pat

You can always contact the PBS team, they will follow up on this issue and they can delete the mark on your profile. You didn't do anything wrong.

I'd contact PBS about it, Mary.  They might be able to remove it.

Honestly, I would let it go.  If you pm'd her as a response to her RWAP, then you're response is documented.  The PBS team isn't going to think twice about this - and it really won't go against you in any way :)

I know it's just annoying because the PBS listing in my transaction archive clearly says Hardcover.

Did you see a search at Amazon to see if the HC and Audio versions have the same ISBN? I wouldn't think that would happen as often as it does with hardcovers and paperbacks, but that might be the case, so the requestor thought that she was legitimately ordering  the audio version.

Yep, that it only cost her 1 credit instead of 2 should have been a big clue to the receiver that they'd ordered a book and not an audio book.

I was thinking the same thing.  How could she not know?

She should not have marked the book as RWAP. It was her fault, she ordered the wrong book type.

I did this awhile back.. got a book I wasn't expecting. Checked and the sender had posted it correctly, it was my mistake.

I would PM her about it.

She made the mistake, not you.  While you being marked RWAP, if PBS looked they would be able to see that you did not do anything wrong.  Also, no one sees this by PBS administration, so its OK to  have one sitting on your record, even if its not your fault.  I can see how you would be irritated though :  (
