Five Plays of Euripides Iphigenia at Aulus Others Author:H R Coursen This is the second and final installment of H.R. Coursen's adaptations of the plays of Euripides. In 2003, he published Euripides: Fourteen Plays (plus one) (Mathom Bookstore, Dresden, Maine), which included Rhesus, Alcetis, Media, Hippolytus, Andromache, Hecuba, The Suppliants, Hercules, The Trojan Women, Electra, Helen, Ion, Iphigenia in Tauru... more »s, Bacchus, and Coursen's The Departure, the first scene in his dramatization of The Aeneid. The adaptation of The Aeneid was performed at the Orlando Shakespeare Festival in 1999. The adaptations of Hercules and The Trojan Woman were performed at The Theater Project, Brunswick, Maine in 2001 and 2002 respectively. H.R. Coursen's Blues in the Night will be appearing in the spring of 2010 from Moonpie. He has won "best poem" awards from the Maine Poetry Society and the New England Poetry Club. His Recalling August was a runner-up for the Pushcart Prize. He teaches aviation history at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Shakespeare at Southern New Hampshire University.« less
