This is an excellent book which is very helpful to parents and/or caregivers of 5 year olds. It helped me to remember some of the idiosyncrasies of this age so I was better equipped to deal with my son.

An easy read and insightful into the mind of a 5 year old. Information was very accurate for my child.
Really great descriptions of 5yo's & what to expect for social & cognitive development :)
Written so that a child can understand. Don't quite get that part of it???? Everything you need to know from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night (including the proper times!).
Although the books in this series were published more than twenty years ago, they are great at identifying norms in behavior and feelings for each age. The author must have been very forward-thinking for her time!
Love this series of books. It is like having the "manual" for your child. It tells of what is normal for the age of the child and what you might expect from them. Straightforward and reassuring.
These should be on every parents reference shelf. They are incredibly reassuring.
