The death of Clayton Cunningham III is an indulgent and high profile as his life. When the senator has a heart attack while in bed with his beautiful mistress , the media descend like hungry wolves.

The top brass at the NYPD and city hall want a quick and quiet resolution but as LT Ben Tolliver's inquiry starts to uncover the sorid hiiden life of the senator witnesses begin to be murdered .

Now as Tolliver waits for a viscious killer to strike again, he is pulled deeper and deeper into the ruthless world of power and politics and high finance- one in which the most shocking motives cross all boundaries ..of friendship , honor even of flesh and blood .
