While I read this book all the way through, I was turned off by all the "prey killing" the author seemed to think was necessary. The book is based on fact and teaches much about golden eagles (and what they eat). I enjoyed learning about these remarkable birds of prey. There were a few things that I felt needed correction; for example: songbirds have "bills", birds of prey have "beaks". Other than being nit-picky I think this book is a worthwhile read, especially for teens and pre-teens.
