Florentine Embroidery
Author: Barbara Snook
Florentine embroidery is a specialized form of canvas embroidery, worked with wool, silk or cotton. The stitch, once learned, is one of the quickest & easiest to do and is becoming increasingly popular. The general effect is geometrical, as the patterns are worked out in wavy lines and zigzags and are usually abstract.
