Lots of tension. The story of a young, spoiled woman who agrees to a death bed promise to marry her father's protege. She has no clue about the underlying reasons for her dad's insistence on the marriage and resists the relationship with every ounce of hostile, petty energy she has. She does finally push too hard and learns some unpleasant truths about her dad and herself.
