Interesting read that shows some of the differences in our legal system and that of Singapore! An eye opener!

From the back cover:
Andy, a hapless English lad abroad in Singapore, is arrested for masterminding a multi-million-dollar soccer gambling syndicate, and Mei, his girlfriend-cum-lover, and her childhood friend Eugene, have only two weeks to prove his innocence. In doing so, they must confront their own secret histories of abuse, murder and betrayal...

Set in a world of Feng Shui and Filofaxes, Karaoke and kebabs, Freshers and football, Foreign Bodies is a breathtaking, often hilarious fusion of East and West, past and present, which searches for a greater truth behind the lager sagas of twenty-nothings.
