Deltora is a land of monsters and magic. The evil Shadow Lord is plotting to invade the land of Deltora and enslave its people. All that stands against him is the magic Belt of Deltora with its seven stones of great and mysteroius power. Occasionally I like to read kids books to fill time in between others (or when my mind just doesn't want to wrap around a complex plot). This one was a disappointment and I didn't even finish it. It reminded me too much of Lord of the Rings and that just really bugged me. Kids might like it, but I didn't.
