Fabulous Scottish Highlands romance, circa 1485, lots of action, very sensual & very compelling love story. The Clans MacBeth and Carmichael have been at war for a hundred years, since the time a MacBeth woman was kidnapped and slain by a Carmichael warrior. But the love of Hunter MacBeth and Mary Carmichael "canna be denied". Warning: typical for 1980's romances, the heroine does get raped and abused by a certain character, not the hero. But this author knows how to tell a story and the characters' Romeo & Juliet romance is a great one.
