I just emailed PBS and suggested they have a new tool/feature that allows us members to see what other members are reading, just read and/or will be reading and the availability to discuss them as if/like we would in a Book Club.

I suggested this because I just read Nicholas Sparks' "At First Sight" and was disappointed by the ending and I don't have anybody to talk with about it. I suppose I could search the forums but wouldn't it be nice and easy if I could just search the book and/or have immediate access when posting a book to other members that have read it and etc?

Please support me and/or let me know your thoughts.

I could see that possibly working out.  I don't really have any friends or family that read like I do so I find myself never being able to discuss books!  Interested to see what happens!

Thanks!

I think that would be a great idea!  I almost always have a lot to churn over when I finish a book and it would be so nice to talk with others who also have finished reading the same book.

Currently I am reading The Time Traveler's Wife.

Anyone else?

You can always go to the genre forum for whatever book you want to discuss and start a thread about it.

Victoria - that is what I was just about to suggest.

I think the above suggestion may be a bit complicated from a database/privacy standpoint.

I don't really know how they would do that.  It's basically what the genre forums are for-to discuss what we are reading, favorite authors and such.

If you want to start a discussion about a book just start a thread about it in the appropriate genre thread.

Sounds like goodreads might be something you'd like. http://www.goodreads.com/
