I didn't know this forum for Christian books existed.  I guess I need to look around on PBS more often. :)  It looks like a lot of people are using it like the book bazaar, though, and that's a total turnoff, and against the rules, too, I would think.  Why are people doing that?  At the very least, could there be one thread made, for those who must post their deals here?  Some of the deal threads aren't even for christian books!

Anyway, I'd like to read some Christian fiction.  In the past I've read Kristin Billerbeck.  I really liked the What a Girl Wants series, but I didn't care as much for the Spa Girls series.  I read one christian romance, and I can't remember the author, but it was historical, and it was just way too sugary for me, if that makes sense.  Anyone have any good recommendations?

I always recommend Angela Hunt. Her books are very interesting and well written. I also like Linda Nichols, Francine Rivers, Karen Kingsbury (some of hers are a little on the sappy side, but the Redemption series and the others in the same series are excellent)

Others: Susan Meissner, Roxanne Henke, Camy Tang's chick lit is pretty good, Lisa Samson, Brandilyn Collins, Charles Martin...I could go on and on and on!

Francine Rivers and Terri Blackstock are my faves.  I'm on my first Bodie Thoene book and although it took me a while to get into I'm enjoying it now.  I'll be posting it as soon as I"m done :)  It's called In My Father's House.
