I enjoy reading the naval novels of the Nelson era. This was an author I had not read before. Although I cannot say the book compares to O'brian or Lambdin it was a enjoyable read. It successfully establishs the era and gives detailed descriptions of naval as well as historical places. I will certainly look for the other books in this series.
