Frederick
Author: Leo Lionni
All of the mice are working hard gathering food for winter...all except Frederick. He sits and gathers something different. When winter comes and food runs out, it is Frederick who saves the day. A sweet story that demonstrates that those who dream can be as essential as those who work for their living.

All the mice work hard to gather food for winter-except Frederick. The mice don't like that too much. But when winter comes, the mice find Frederick has something different, and special, to share.

Ages 4-6 or so.

A lovely little tale about a dreamer, and the contribution imagination makes in challenging times. As always, Lionni's paper collage illustrations are beyond perfect.
