Free E-Book for you to try....

Here's the link to a short story that I wrote called MY BROTHER'S KEEPER.

Some of you on the list have read it. Some of you are new so I'm offering the link to it again. The link is also up at www.candacesams.com .

This is a paranormal romance about a heartbroken firefighter who's being haunted into getting on with his life. I wrote this a long time ago (don't hang me for the self-editing <g>:). No one wanted it because there wasn't any sex in the story and it had a ghost in it. For some reason, no sex and ghosts are hard to place with publishers <G>. I rate it for general audiences; it's about 30,000 words. If you haven't read it, leave comments at the site or you can email me at CandaceSams@mchsi.com

Thanks for sharing. I am reading the free Lynn Viehl story, and am reminded why I have adored her Kyn books. except for Evermore, which I found disappointing, so haven't read the next 2. Now, I will.

ETA finished the story, Really good. Its about Theirry's son, Jaimys.

Anne, I didn't much like Evermore either, and I found Stay the Night Disappointing.  I did really like book 6, however.  I'm not sure if it was because I had such high expectations for Robin's story and such low ones for Jaus' though

Karen, the first 4 were just so intense and good weren't they? I hope I like book 6 also. Did you know there is another one coming out?

The first 4 were really good.  I think 2, 3 and 4 were the best.   I have a special fondness for Lucan, so 3 was my favorite.  I liked the first one, but the romance took a back seat to the world building, so I didn't think it was as strong as the next 3.  Book 7, to me had too much to tie up in too short a novel, since she wanted to finish up the "kyn" and write about the "kyndred" .

I've havd the new one on my WL for a while, because I stalk the WL threads :)

I stalk the romance one but I missed that book until recently. Do you have any idea what the kyndred book will be about? I searched the internet but couldn't find out.

I also liked 2, 3 and 4 the best. Sooooo good.

I know what you mean.  Viehl's books really vary.  There are some I like a lot more than others.   If I have updates I will try to post more later.
