OK, I'm attempting to get more organzied and after stuffing stuff in the freezer and having it fall out every time I open the darn thing I decided to clean it out. last night was the fridge and tonight was the freezer...I found all sorts ofthings but 3 packages of frozen lean italian sausage links(the big uns) I put in there in their grocery store packagine and the package sorta swelled up (didn't open though) but the meat looks like it has ice in there with it...I'm wondering if I should thaw them out and cook them or just toss 'em in the trash? and no, I don't plan on letting this happen again..bought some freezer bags for future use..IF I ever get through all the stuff that I found! I didnt' realzie I liked shrimp so much.sigh..4 packages of precooked frozen shrimp...and found tons of frozen veggies I didn't know I had...

As long as there isn't freezer burn on them, they should be fine.

When freezing meats, I rinse them in cold water, wrap them in saran wrap and then in foil - tightly.  I then put that in a freezer baggie with a zip-top.  The idea is to get as much air out as possible.

thanks LG..not sure if they have freezer burn or not...I was really stupid to have tossed them in there that way but I'm working on it for the future! hadn't thought about rinsing meat or using foil...I have foil so I'll try that next time though with all the stuff I found in there I shouldn't need any more meat for a while!
