Contemporary mystery/thriller by Darden North, MD. We catch up with Dr. Knox Chamblee, who we met in the novel, House Call. Knox has left the OB/GYN practice, and had joined an exclusive Fertility Clinic, also in Mississippi, which is the backdrop for this story. There are several sub-plots going on: Carrie and Wayne Sarbeck use the clinic, when their chance to conceive naturally is gone; and uber-famous actress Allyn Saxton enrolls at the clinic, when her biological clock starts ticking, and she has no real leading man in her life.

This is a compelling story, with complicated characters. My only complaint is that there are some bad guys out there that don't get what they deserve. However, the ending leaves open the possibility of a follow up book. I certainly hope so! I will say, that if real-life actors and actresses endure what Ms. Allyn Saxton has to endure, then they deserve every penny that they earn! This book is worth a credit.
