WE ARE NOT ALONE.
WE MIGHT WISH THAT WE WERE...
BUT WE'RE DEFINITELY NOT.

It all started with a birthday present. What appeared to be a used laptop computer. But Jack, Loaf, and Merle are about to discover that this laptop is so much more than they could have hoped for---or even wanted. Really.

You see, the laptop is not from this planet. And it's users have the ability to access an intergalactic Internet. By now, you've probably already guessed what it's called, right? Yup--Outernet.

The problem is that some of the not-so-nice guys "out there" want the laptop's access denied--along with the users....
Oh, and did we mention the talking dog?

A review on Amazon.com by a child reader:
Outernet is about a boy named Jack, and his two friends Merle and Loaf. For Jack's birthday he gets a laptop. at first he thinks it is an ordinary laptop, but when he and his friends open it they find out that it is a computer that leads to the Outernet, an intergalactic internet, but some 'bad guys' are trying to find it. They are trying to find it because that is all they need in order to control the galaxy which would mean no freedom for others.
