It was the age-old question, could friends become lovers?

Typical Diana Palmer. Older man and younger female with little experience with men. He is a Oil man, wealthy and gruff. She is a published author of mystery books, and his "best friend". When the situation changes and they recognize the heat between them, things become difficult for her. Didn't like her much in the beginning, no backbone when she should have stood up to him and his conniving cousin. Her character changed later in the story and I liked her much better. Good ending as usual.
