When my dad had more and more health problems (hearing loss, diabetes that required insulin, excessive drowsiness, poor eyesight, etc.) from aging and I had to become more of a caregiver to him, it was difficult because he didn't want any outside help whatsoever.  He also refused to move in with me.  He died on his own terms at age 89 and shortly after, I wrote a book about how our relationship changed as he got older and his fight for independence.  It's really a memoir but one I think anyone who has elderly parents would enjoy as well as those who are the elderly parents.  It's about love of a family and the funny things he did and how God helped me through the difficult months after his death.  It is available on amazon.com and bn.com.
