At first I wasn't loving this book compared to others...compared to Francine Rivers as others put it, however the message was good-the writing was clear& it even gripped my heart in the end. Overall I would give it 4 star read & worth the time.

Lenore and Daniel have a nice home and a wonderful son. Lenore loves everything about her life except for one thing, which she asks Daniel for. Her request changes everything, and begins a journey to find meaning and purpose in her life. Wonderful characters, and a great story. This book is very hard to put down.

My first venture in the genre of Christian Fiction. The author is a friend, or I probably would not have even tried it. It was a good, easy heartwarming read.

Superbly written - amazing characters who aren't perfect. Not too preachy, but gets to the heart of the matter.

Two seemingly shattered lives are slowly mended over a period of time. Lenore asked Daniel a simple, but life-changing, question, which he never answered. The two part and go their separate ways as they both evaluate life priorities: Lenore coming to terms with her spirituality and Christian walk (something she never thought would have that much meaning in her life), and Daniel--pursuing his life dream of becoming a major Hollywood star, having everything and every one that money can buy. Eventually Daniel's career is destroyed by the choice he made to drink and drive. Will he be able to pull it back together and get back to the "simple life" with the one person who loved him in the most genuine way possible? My words cannot convey how true-to-life this author's portrayal is of the choices that we all face in life at one time or another. The story is riveting and one that you may decide to keep and read again.

This was a very good book to read, the first time I read a Linda Nichols book and I am impressed with her writing.
The story line was very much what we experience in the world today and I was happy to see the situation explored the way she described it. It was a little lengthy and I felt it could have been said in less chapters, but I am not sorry that I read it. She showed what "being worldly" is all about and how easily we can slip into it and how difficult it is to escape from "worldly" ways and to get on the right track with our Savior, Jesus Christ and to lead a Godly life. I would encourage this read most heartily.

Excellent book with a moving story. Walks you through the struggles of life and the journey each person much take on their own for their relationship with Christ. Each person has tough, individual struggles to go through on their journey and I think there was a character just about anyone could relate to.
