Can anyone suggest a good cookbook to help me prepare my garden produce in a new way?  I'm looking for easy, everyday recipes, not a gourmet cookbook.  There must be something out there.  I've searched PBS for cookbooks and the internet for individual recipes, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.  The garden is off to a slow start this year, but I'd like to find a book before the garden explodes in the coming weeks.
Thanks ~

Do you mean a cookbook that gives recipes for your garden vegetables? Have you tried looking in general cookbooks, in the chapters/sections that deal with vegetables and side dishes?

The newer Gourmet cookbook has terrific vegetable recipes, for all skill levels. . Ditto for "Fast Easy Fresh" by Bob Appetit--these are all easy.

"Vegetable Harvest" by Patrica Wells is great, and Mark Bittman has some vegetarian cookbooks that have lots of recipes for veggies.

"How to Pick A Peach" by Russ Parsons talks about fruit as well, but includes lots of yummy veggie recipes.

Yes, garden vegetables.  I have tried general cookbooks, both mine and from the library, but the vegetable sections are limited or contain recipes that I already use, or are exotic and not appealing to my families taste.

Thank you for these book suggestions.  I'll check into them.

Too Many Tomatoes, Squash, Beans, and Other Good Things: A Cookbook for When Your Garden Explodes By
Lois M. Landau and Laura G. Myers . My sister has this cookbook. A seperate chapter for every veggie that might come exploding from your garden.

Another one with the same chapter arrangement - one chapter for each veggie:

"Vegetables Every Day" is another one devoted to veggies,; each veggie has it's own section.

Ditto for "Sweet Onions, Sour Cherries" all-veggie cookbook.

Both those are older (like 8 years); you may find them in a library or online.
