Hi everyone, My husband and I are new to gardening as we just got a house a year ago. I read somewhere that homemade pepper sprays are a good, safe way to keep pests (insects and animals) away from plants, but the recipes I found are each a bit different. Does anyone have something that they know works well? Thanks! |

Make sure you keep pepper sprays away from your face and eyes. Can be nasty. You want to pepper to be hot, as the hot burn is what makes it work. I know pepper does not work on birds. Have to have a sense of smell, like rabbits, deer, squirrels, and some bugs. I've also used garlic spray. Less danger when down wind of it. Take several cloves of garlic and smash them. Put in hot water and let it cool. |
