Gardening with Guineas is all about raising Guinea fowl on a small scale. The author, Ms. Jeanette S. Ferguson covers most everything on about raising Guinea fowl from A-Z. She covers the complete life span from egg to adult. She also covers Guinea incubation, feeding requirements, housing, training and any common problems you might have. After reading this book you will have knowledge on how to raise Guinea fowl, what you will need to have before you purchase, how to raise keets and how to get your Guineas to come back to roost in a coop every night.

I think the author did a good job in describing the various differences between raising guineas and chickens. There is also a rough coop & run drawing to give you some idea of a combined Guinea/chicken coop.

The only thing here that could be a bit misleading here is the title of the book. It's not actually about gardening, per say. Tho, the author does talk about using the Guineas to eat bugs & snakes that are garden pests.

Overall, this is a book I'd purchase again and recommend. It's one of the only books I've found on exclusively small scale Guinea fowl. I feel that an novice would be able to raise Guineas after reading this book. Ms. Ferguson really does know her Guineas! She describes their personalities, as well as their physical needs, which I found interesting and very helpful.
