I just finished Generation Dead by Daniel Waters. I really enjoyed it but I was MAD that the ending was so cliffhanger-ish. Especially since there is a long wait for the sequel here! It's the first zombie-themed YA book I've read. I feel like there was a lot left unsolved in the book too, like more about the work of the foundation the kids worked at.

Didn't the sequel, "Kiss of Life," come out in May? I'm pretty sure it dead, although I haven't seen it around...

Yes, it came out in May, and like I said there is a pretty big WL for it here. And I'm impatient and want to read it but never buy hardbacks!

The cliff-hanger made me mad too! Otherwise, I really liked it.

For the sequel,I'm 6 of 48 on the wish list. I almost bought it last weekend. My book store already had 3 used copies. I know when I go back this weekend they'll probably all be sold.

ETA: I've read a few other zombie-themed YA novels. The only one I really, really liked (besides Generation Dead) was The Forest of Hands and Teeth. It's MUCH different and so well done. The others I read were pretty mediocre.
