While there are a few very dark plot points like girls being kidnapped by evil foreign vampires, the overall tone of this urban fantasy was funny. It was refreshing to read about a young vampire who is not yet wealthy, powerful or incredibly good looking. Instead Fort has girlfriend trouble, a low wage job, and a car that is falling apart. He's helped in this book's adventure by a female fox who can shift into human form.
