Lamb has done as good a job as possible under the circumstances, to recreate the life of a man who arose from a civilization that didn't put great store in leaving written records. That which is definitively known about Genghis Khan is included; but more important, Lamb has analyzed and written on the ways in which Genghis Khan truly changed the world.
