I don't know how many are familiar with this author, but she is fabulous at historical fiction books. I have read Year of Wonders and March, and both were really good.

I very very much liked Year of Wonders, and March is on my TBR.

LOVED Year Of Wonders!  I have read March-it's pretty good, IMO not as much as Year Of Wonders though.

About March-for me, it seemed to start slow, but stick with it-the second part was much better...once again, IMO.

Haven't read wonders, but I couldn't finish March.  It was slow and uninteresting, IMHO.  There are so many wonderful details surrounding that time period and it could have easily been made more enjoyable.

Year of Wonders is one of my all time favorites, and I don't like fiction.

I loved Year of Wonders too!  I always recommend it to my intellectual friends.  :)  March was good, but not nearly as good as Year of Wonders, imo.

I very much enjoyed March. My mother and I are big Little Women fans, and both felt that some of the details she added in, and the authenticity of her voice in general, were really enjoyable.

I read Year of Wonders and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. In general, I'm not the biggest historical fiction fan, but this was such a tightly written, intrest-laid story. I've added myself to the WL for her new book :)

Btw, I also read her nonfiction 'Nine Parts of Desire'. It was pretty interesting, dragged at times, but was an earlier work. She has a unique perspective that keeps me reading.

I read both those books earlier this year--first March, and then Year of Wonders, and I loved them both. They're among the best books I've read this year!

I've read "March" and agree it was good (not great, but good). I need to put "Year of Wonders" on my Wish List.
