I've been using the PBS DC lately. I just noticed that when I mail them from the post office (I'm not buying the postage from PBS) they are charging me .19 for delivery confirmation on the same packages. Are they supposed to be doing that, or am I getting charged twice for the same delivery confirmation?

They are supposed to be doing that.

They are supposed to add the .19. It says so right on the wrapper and when you buy the DC from PBS.  The .27 fee goes to PBS and covers the cost of credits they might have to refund.  The .19 goes to the post office.

They are for now anyway.  I just read in the CMT that the post office is doing away with the .19 fee for online DC.  But I don't know if that's only if you buy full postage or also with just buying DC.

You are supposed to add .19 at post office.  So, this was correct for you.

But as noted, this will be changing in a couple of days.

As of 1/22/12, DC will only cost the .27 fee, there will be no more adding .19 at post office. Printable Postage fees here are changing to reflect the disappearing DC charge.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
