"Getting Rid of Matthew" was my first British Chick Lit and I really enjoyed it. The story was about Helen, aka Eleanor. She is having an affair with a married man. She thinks she loves him and begs him to leave his wife and family for her. When he shows up on her door step one day with all of his stuff, she realizes she has made a big mistake. What she does about it and the people involved is pretty risky. The humor and fast pace read was great. I would definitely recommend this book!

The story-line isn't super original but was written well and did have a couple of surprises in it. Good easy read for me since I just finished a SUPER SAD book!

This book was actually refreshingly good. I picked it up on a whim and read it in a day. It was deliciously exciting and full of all sorts of more adult themes. Perfect to waste away a weekend with.
