I'm sad that this is the last in the series. Graham created a novel with deep characters, a serene yet realistic setting, and an amazing plot line. The authorities dismiss the first murder as a bizarre accident, but the case is reopened when a clairvoyant is poisoned. DCI Barnaby believes that she may have been murdered because she knew that the first death was not accidental.

There is a parallel plot involving a family that was closely related to the first victim. This story would make a great novel by itself.

DCI Barnaby is the most likeable detective. He's a family man who love to potter in the garden. He doesn't drive a flashy car or have any ghosts in his past. He's honest and real.

I hope Graham writes more in this series.
