Great gift! I have read a few of Melody Carlson's books, but I think that this is the best. A young college student finds out when her mother dies that she is adopted. She gets some information from her dad to find her birth family. Her life gets crazier and crazier! The ending is superb, but I never would have guessed it! The author takes you on on winding and more winding mystery until the very end! Very well written! This is not just a Christmas story. I think the lesson here is that with God's help we have to learn to accept the curve balls of life.

This is another really good read from Melody Carlson about a college girl who was adopted as a baby & how she has the opportunity to meet her birth grandmother. The grandmother is quite cantankerous & mistakes the girl to be the new housekeeper. The first part of the book is comical yet as the reader gets deeper into the story, painful secrets as revealed & only when both the grandmother & the girl accept God's Grace & see His Hand in their lives can things be resolved. This Christmas story is for reading anytime & I highly recommend all of Melody Carlson's books.
