Has anyone read the Wakefield Dynasty books by Gilbert Morris?  A friend of mine loaned them to me, but I know nothing about them.  I hate to start a big series like this if it's not going to be worth it, you know?  My TBR pile is already over 100.  I read mostly romance (historical and contemp) - will I like these?

yes, I've read them (actually i've read ALL his books..no easy feat lol). these are about the Wakefield family and they start off during the time of Queen Elizabeth I and go through to about the mid 1800s. if you like family sagas these are good, they are sorta like the show The Tudors (minus the sex and stuff). if you like historical fiction, they are really good, although there are a few discrepancies throughout the books that i had major problems with. in any case the first few books are better than the later ones
