I really enjoyed this book. Manhattan upper crust society is so far removed from my own world that I thought I wouldn't be able to remotely empathize with any of the characters. I was wrong... the "Keeping up with the Jones's" battle can be felt by anyone but it is taken to the extreme in this society. Add this to self esteem issues and marriage problems and that's where you'll find our main character. The struggle to find oneself and not get caught up in the game is the point of the story, and anyone, no matter what economic background you come from can understand that. It was a quick read.

There is an element of voyeurism that one feels reading this book. The author provides insight into the secret "reality" of life in Manhatten's upper-crust society. The main character provides a grounded commentary on this life and following her journey is satisfying. The ending seemed to wrap up a little to quickly (as though there was a page limit that had been reached). However, it's still an enjoyable read.
