This book started out so slowly and had these distracting exerpts of the books that the charecter was reading that I almost put it down. But the Jack and Diane are so endearing and real that I plugged on and suddenly the book became what it should have been at the beginning, a BEAUTIFUL love story!! This is definately a must read!!

This book is simply horrible. The chapters alternate between Jack and Diane. For the first half of the book nothing happens that is part of the story, aside from a few tidbits. Jack talks to himself and his thoughts answer him. Diane reviews her books, which you get to read, and tells her thoughts. When the story starts to happen these things do not go away, instead you get to start reading Jacks novel on top of his thoughts talking to him and you still get to read the books Diane is reviewing. There are so many books inside this book that it takes forever to get to the actual story. I had to push myself to get past the first 120 pages. This book was not for me. It was boring and 1/2 the book was needless.
