Please tell me I wasn't the only one that didn't like it.  I felt odd about it because I love her other books, but for whatever reason I couldn't get into it.

Please Kim, don't go by me.  I have no idea why I couldn't get into it...the premise was good...I just don't know why.  There are some books I've started and no matter how the author describes people or scenery, it can't stop the way you picture it in your head.  If I don't like the scene in my head I can't go back to the book.  Jeez, that made me sound kind of creepy.

Everybody had different tastes, I guess.   I'l lukewarm about her other stuff, yet I loved Any Given Doomsday.   I'm going to get the second one, as soon as it comes out.

Some people love Laurell K Hamilton, and/or Lora Leigh.  Yet, I don't care for them.

Do you have any favorite authors?

Veronica, it's not just you.  I had a very hard time getting into it, I kind of just pushed myself through it.

That's good to know.  And as far as Hamilton; I read her books for a long time, but they got confusing (Anita is a leader, or queen, or whatever of everyone) and way too much sex for me.  I skip the sex in all the books I read.  Lora Leigh I couldn't read either.  My favorites at this point are JR Ward, Sparks, Kenyon, Bardsley, Feehan, Garey, Harris, and Shayne.  Although Feehan's last Drake book sucked.

I love JR Ward.   If you like the Black Dagger Brotherhood, you might want to try Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione.   I thought it was really good.

I've never read anything else by the author but I liked Any Given Doomsday and looking forward to the next installment.  The book certainly isn't in my top 10....but I've read so many crappy books lately that it was a refreshing surprise.

I HATE Feehan & Leigh...My like of Hamilton ebbs and flows.
