It has now been almost 6 months, and my favorite search still does not work. |

David, did you tell PBS your problem? Go to Contact Us at the bottom right of the page under company and send Feedback. They'll reply via email. |

My searches are working. Let them know specifically what isn't working for you by sending in feedback. 1) Are you using the Quick Search box at the top right corner of each page, 2) the Book Browser (best option, IMHO) or the Advanced Search, 2) What specific search terms are you typing in, and which boxes are you putting the search terms in, and 3) The problem with the results you are receiving. (A general "Search isn't working for me" isn't helpful to them.) |

Does the top search bar work for anyone? I'm talking about the big one at the top in the blue bar almost across the screen. It basically does NOTHING. You type anything you want in it, it brings you to the "nothing found" page, with the search term in the "keyword" box on the left. You then have to delete that, put it where you want, then search again. It's basically the conveyance to the search page. So for example, type "King" into the search at the top of every page, on any page. You get the white page of nothingness, with the left side search forms. You then have to delete "King" from the "Keyword" field, then type it into the author field, for example. This hasn't worked for me for months. It's the easiest way to search esp on mobile, and what the hey hey? |

I just typed in The Elusive Elixir in that top search and it returned 16 items. I'm using chrome. |

The blue search bar works fine for me (using chrome). Tried for different items using a) an author name, b) an ISBN, and c) a random title. All results came up fine. I've also tried using the book browser & advanced search and there seems to be no problem. I suggest that 'saved' searched may need to have their parameters re-saved since the updates likely changed some of the behind-the-scenes coding. Kind of like using an old link to go to a favorite website; if the company moves the path to the server sometimes you have re-save the favorite even though the URL itself didn't actually change, just the 'path'.

Like Linda, I have no problem with the search bar in the banner. It has been working for me for several months now. I use Firefox for all PBS stuff. The same for Book Browser and Advanced Search (which I use a lot!) |
