I posted a question about e books on the Club Members Thoughts forum and they directed me to this forum.  I am so happy I found it!  DH bought a kindle and a week later I bought an I pad.  We both love reading and especially love reading our books on the kindle or ipad.  I've ordered a bunch of free books from amazon and now from www.ereaderiq and www.bookbub.  Thank you for recommending these sites.

Keep in mind also, that on the Ipad (and maybe the Kindle, not versed in the Kindle), you can download the apps for Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Amazon, etc and take advantage of free books from everywhere.

If you read romances, there is also a thread over in Love and Romance that lists mainly eBook deals and freebies.

For non fiction, the University of Chicago Press has one free eBook a month.

I mainly read mysteries (legal thrillers).

And if you ever want to buy something, Kobo has a contest about once a month where you answer trivia questions and get coupons off. So far, up to 75% off on some non-agency purchases. I usually get 20% off. It usually runs for 10 days, so you have ten chances to get a good one.

So keep an eye here for coupons and contests as well. The current Kobo contest is Here

I don't spend all my coupons, but I have picked up some stuff cheaper than Amazon there with a coupon. It's kinda fun, and you don't have to worry about having a wrong answer. Just keep answering until you get the right one. Then they show you the coupon code and email it to you. There's also a list where people post their spare coupons they're not going to use for other people.

Do check your local library to see if they have an eBook collection.

You can also buy out of state library cards through the Free Library of Philadelphia and The Brooklyn Public Library. They're both $50/a year but there's 10's of thousands of ebooks & digital audiobooks.

Be sure to look through the library catalog before paying for one.  Each librarian has a slightly different selection focus. It is great to find a librarian that has the same buying tastes as you do.

Some libraries select books to fill in the gaps of their shelf selections.
