I started the Glenbrooke Series by Robin Jones Gunn last night.  There was so much excitement just in the first couple pages, very good!!  I had to force myself to put it down and get some sleep..LOL!

I am pretty sure I first heard of this series here at PBS, in the hidden gems forum, maybe? 

I really enjoyed that series too, in fact, I have them on my keeper shelf. Which is kind of funny, because I don't generally keep romance type books. But these just have a special place in my heart I think.

I haven't read any of her books, but her books for teens were/are? really popular.  I gave some to my grand-daughter.

i love how the glenbrooke series has ties to the Christy Miller series as well, teri (Whispers) is the cheerleader Christy gave her spot up to, Alissa (Sunsets) is the teen mom Christy meets while she's visiting her aunt and uncle.

it's a wonderful series and i just love how everyone's connected somehow

Thanks Deborah...that is so cool to know. Now I want to read Christy Miller series.  :o)  It is comforting to have familiar characters pop up in other books.

I have loved Robin Jones-Gunn since I read the Christy Miller series as a teen.  I was ecstatic to find that she wrote other books also.  I've read them all and love them!!!

I haven't read this series, but it looks worth giving a try, definitely.

I read the Glenbrooke Series several years ago and totally enjoyed them.  They're definitely worth reading!
