Maybe you've watched Oprah for years, and listened to all the weight loss advice. Then there was Dr. Phil. And your own doctor has told you it would be good to take off a few pounds. But nothing works. The experts tell you a good snack is plain popcorn, or an apple - but after you eat either of those, you feel famished! You're hungrier than BEFORE you ate! Then you desperately need this book! It will tell you WHY you need to eat differently. You will learn all about insulin resistance, and why that is important - and not just for diabetics. FINALLY - what you need to know!

This diet takes the glycemic index one step further - it actually guides you through eating 'real' food, not just one ingredient here and one ingredient there. It is not a complete guide - you still need to exercise portion control and put some work into your diet - but it is a good way to start. At least it gets you thinking about what you are eating.

This book does need a more complete of foods and their scores, but this diet is relatively new, and I think that will be coming soon.
