This book is set in the midwest in the weeks leading up to Pearl Harbor Day and is interesting from the historical aspect, as well as the whodunnit. Because it was written in the 40's, certain aspects do not seem PC to modern readers, but it is authentic. I found it engaging and will read other books by Frances Crane.
