This a very enjoyable thriller that, although written in the 1970's, was very prescient about technological and strategic possibilities of hostage taking and recovery. There is the usual politician bashing and the celebration of the lone wolf hero, who is just a little to clever to be likable. The pace of the novel is well done and it encourages the reader to grab on and enjoy the ride! While I did not read this author much at the time, I recently re-enjoyed his Ice Station Zebra and thought to try another of his books. I chose well!
