Raw, wild 19th Century California was no place for a young woman - especially one as gently bred and vulnerable as lovely Netta Field. But this was where she foundherself, abandoned and defenseless with her weakling husband who ran off with a shameless woman of the streets. Somehow Netta had to keep alive in the crude mining camps and boom towns of the territory.
