I got one for my girls. I will sell their Nook Color.

Looks like they're going pretty fast. May run out of them before the timer goes out.

I was tempted, but love what I have for a tablet already, so really don't need it.

Anne did you ask them IF they want a Fire?  

They are almost 7 & 9. They just want to play Angry Birds and connect the dots, and watch Netflix, and read books. As the administrator of their devices, I am sick of the Nook Color android and am happily exchanging it for this updated Fire. It should run a little faster/better than mine. And will be a lot easier to administer. If I can't figure out how to get my paid copy of Kinectimals side loaded, well, I am getting an android phone soon so they can play it on that.

Yikes, it is due to arrive tomorrow....hope I can smuggle it in without MIL noticing. 

Anne. this is why I keep a tote bag near the front door, just slip in the package and wander through the house, if anyone asks it's dirty or clean shirts going out to goodwill..LOL

I opened it last night after all the kids were in bed, I love it! It is like my Fire, but better. And SO much better than the Nook+n2a card. That baby is going on ebay today. Not the card, just the NC.

The Fire 2. It's not the HD, but I love it, and more importantly, my girls will, too. 

Ok Was wondering....

This Fire will be even better now, since I have bought a different tablet for my older daughter. I can just leave it in the freetime section for the younger daughter and no worries. I just have to see if I can turn wifi on and off from her section or not.

At Girl Scouts last night, my older daughter was doing a Thanksgiving wreath, and on one of the "leaves" she wrote "Kindle Fire." Wait til she finds out she is getting her very own tablet, and doesn't have to share the Fire! She is going to be so excited.
