If you can get him to read Karen Kingsbury, she has a wonderful book (Waiting For Morning)  that is about a drunk driver who hits her husband's SUV while he is driving with their two daughters. I won't give the story away, just know that one or more do die because of this drunk driver. The book explores how the family is affected and how the drunk driver is affected. It also reveals God's grace, mercy, and forgiveness in the drunk driver's life (he does not come to this readily but gets his eyes opened to a loving Savior). I know of a non-fiction book also that is about forgiveness, but I can't remember the whole book title so I will need to do some searches. When I find it, I will post the name. HTH.

Do you mean fiction or non-fiction?  How about a new Bible with some kind of study book to go with it?  There are some good study guides out there about all kinds of topics.  Just a thought.

i would consider the left behind but i can't afford to send him all 12 books and i'm sure he doesn't have the room or he may not even be allowed that many. i just need one good one. fiction or non-fiction it doesn't matter but i'd prefer non-fiction.

If he only gets one send him The Message version of the Bible.  If you can sneak in two Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

How about The Shack by William P. Young?  I think it's a great book for realizing God's immense love for all of us.

I like Michelle's idea of the Left Behind Series.  Maybe you could send him the first one and see what he thought of it.  Then, you could send him the second one, and so on.
